It’s Governors Cup week in the Bluegrass, as the Kentucky Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals are set to meet at Kroger Field Saturday afternoon.
Among those embracing the rivalry as much as anyone is Kentucky’s wide receiver-turned quarterback Lynn Bowden.
When discussing the matchup in multiple postgame interviews after the Wildcats win over U-T Martin last Saturday, Bowden refused to say “Louisville,” forcing reporters to refer to them as “that other team from the west.”
However, in an interview with SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum Tuesday, Bowden did admit he is learning from one former Cardinal.
