As expected, Lynn Bowden pulled in an honor from the SEC for his incredible performance vs. Louisville. Bowden was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the third time he’s won the award this season (he was named SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week following wins over Arkansas and Missouri).
A rundown of Bowden’s record-setting day vs. the Cards:
- Rushed 22 times for a career-high 284 yards and career-high four touchdowns – breaking or tying six records in the process — in Kentucky’s 45-13 win over Louisville.
- 284 yards broke the Southeastern Conference record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single game.
