In a move that feels like it’s been coming for centuries, LSU has decided to finally part ways with Johnny Jones. According to The Times-Picayune, Jones will bet let go after the Tigers end their run in the SEC Tournament. (So, probably tomorrow night after they play Mississippi State.)
In six seasons with LSU, Jones is 90-70, 42-47 in SEC play. After LSU failed to make the NCAA Tournament last year despite having the number one draft pick in Ben Simmons, many thought he’d be gone, but after LSU managed to win only two SEC games this season, ten overall, LSU couldn’t avoid making the move any longer.
