Louisville-Virginia game postponed one week after COVID-19 outbreak within Cardinals program

The coronavirus has delayed another college football game.

In a press release sent out by the University of Lousiville Football team, they have decided to postpone its upcoming away matchup against the Virginia Cavaliers for one week following a COVID-19 outbreak within the Cardinals program. The two sides were meant to play this Saturday, but it will now be moved to the following Saturday, Nov. 14, at 3:30 p.m.

According to UL, they are pausing “all team-related football activities indefinitely due to a heightened quantity of positive COVID-19 tests and accompanying contact tracing measures among the Cardinals’ staff and team members.
