UK associate head coach Kenny Payne breaks down the progress of Kentucky's post players. Jon Hale, Louisville Courier Journal
LEXINGTON, Ky. – When graduate transfer Reid Travis was considering where to play his final season of college basketball, the presence of three former five-star post prospects on Kentucky’s roster was apparently not a concern.
Because Travis and his family quickly developed a trust with UK associate head coach and big-man specialist Kenny Payne.
“Talking to Kenny Payne, if you see bigs like Bam Adebayo and (Karl-Anthony) Towns and (Julius) Randle that maybe didn’t get the most minutes that they would at other programs but you couldn’t say definitively that these guys had a failure of a college career,” Reid’s brother Jonah Travis told the Courier Journal.
