Less than 48 hours after Louisville got good news with the return of C.J. Avery, another defensive starter announced his plans to return.
Defensive end Tabarius Peterson, who played and started in nine games this year, announced his plans to return for his extra year of eligibility. Already a redshirt senior, Peterson will be in his sixth year of eligibility with the Cardinals.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, every player in the country was able to play this season without losing eligibility, giving seniors another year. Though it's unknown how many will return to Louisville, the return of Avery and now Peterson gives the Cardinals two starters back it would've lost.
