On April 3, the University of Kentucky announced plans to transform the Nutter Field House, the football team’s indoor practice facility, into a 400-bed field hospital to prepare for a potential surge in coronavirus patients. That transformation is now complete. Yesterday, UK posted pictures of the temporary field hospital, which will be ready to roll once the patient care staff finishes training.
The field hospital includes partitioned rooms and heavy-duty cots, nurses’ stations, showers and sanitization areas, and a nebulizing station to aid patients with breathing trouble.
