Get excited, board game enthusiasts. A classic board game is putting its spin on the city of Lexington. “Monopoly: Lexington Edition” was unveiled Wednesday at Keeneland and it includes several of the town’s landmarks, businesses, and organizations. Keeneland and surrounding horse farms are featured in the center of the board, along with the iconic Big Blue Building, the Lexington financial center.
Lexington is the first Kentucky city to have its own officially-licensed Monopoly game. (Take that, Louisville!)
“You guys have everything,” Tim Barnet with Top Trumps and Winning Moves said at the unveiling. “Beautiful scenery, amazing organizations that like to give back to the community, amazing restaurants, and it’s really hard not to find a reason to be here.
