As Logan Stenberg prepares to embark for the NFL Draft, he’s grateful for his time at Kentucky. The All-SEC offensive guard considers himself lucky to have played for John Schlarman and Mark Stoops.
Recruited out of high school by Schlarman, Kentucky’s offensive line coach was one of many around the program that knew early on that Stenberg could be something special. A three-year starter that paved the way for 1,000-yard rushers in each season, Stenberg fulfilled that prophecy. While whipping Stenberg’s butt into shape, Schlarman was diagnosed with cancer ahead of the 2018 season. Stenberg did not see his coach miss a beat.
