SEC Country caught up with Liberty Bowl executive director Steve Ehrhart about their interest in the Wildcats and whether or not Kentucky fans should start booking hotel rooms in Memphis.
“John (Calipari’s) been a great friend over the years,” Ehrhart said. “I had a chance to say hello to the president and to Mitch Barnhart and say, ‘Hey, it’s about time for Kentucky.’”
“I can remember drinking the moonshine with (Kentucky fans) down on Beale Street,” Ehrhart said. “We’ve talked about that for basically since last spring when we were up there that it certainly should be something we all oughta look at.
