We have reached the midway point of Kentucky spring football practice. The nuts and bolts of Liam Coen’s offense have been installed. As players work through mental obstacles, Kentucky’s offensive coordinator shared his thoughts on how a few have developed through the first seven practices.
Naasir Watkins remains absent as the offensive tackle continues to rehabilitate a knee injury he suffered last fall. Former blue chip JUCO recruit Jeremy Flax has stepped in at right tackle and surprised Coen.
“I think Flax has made himself a cornerstone over there right now at right tackle,” said UK’s offensive coordinator.
