Kentucky Volleyball has secured the transfer of Lexington native and star setter Lane Jenkins to the program. The news was announced by UK on Friday.
Jenkins, a graduate of Lafayette High School in Lexington, was a high school force, being named Lafayette MVP twice. She also received Lexington all-city accolades in 2018 and was a two-time recipient of the KHSAA All-State Academic Award.
Returning home to the Bluegrass puts Jenkins among many Lexington natives who have played Division I Volleyball in recent years.
Lexington is now a volleyball destination for young athletes like Lane Jenkins after securing a program first NCAA Championship title in 2020.
