No. 23 Kentucky softball (15-7, 0-3 SEC) defeated Lipscomb (10-15) by a score of 9-0 on Wednesday, March 13, at Draper Diamond in Nashville, Tennessee.
Five of Kentucky’s nine runs were driven in by sophomore Lauryn Borzilleri.
She kicked off scoring in the top of the second with an RBI double that scored junior Margaret Tobias and redshirt sophomore Jenna Blanton.
The Wildcats added another run later in that inning from an RBI single by fifth-year Rylea Smith that scored freshman Emory Donaldson.
Borzilleri struck again in the following inning and hit another two-run double, this time scoring Blanton and junior Hallie Mitchell to increase the lead to 5-0.
