High school basketball district tournaments across the state of Kentucky wrapped up on Saturday, which means regional tournament action begins on Monday night with the majority of games getting underway on Tuesday. The winners of the 16 regions will gather in Rupp Arena for the Sweet 16 on March 15-18 to crown one state champion.
Assuming the favorites win out, potential blockbuster regional matchups loom, including:
- Warren Central vs Bowling Green in the 4th Region finals.
- Male vs Ballard in the 7th Region semifinals (remember what happened last year) with the winner possibly playing Trinity in the finals.
