Good morning, folks! Nick Roush’s favorite day of the year has finally arrived. The 149th running of the Kentucky Derby is within reach. The horses will take their post at approximately 6:57 p.m. EST tonight at Churchill Downs in Louisville. The first race of the day begins at 10:30 a.m. EST. Everything will be aired live on NBC (or streaming through Peacock) with Mike Tirico anchoring throughout the day.
We’ve already had a handful of scratches to the field, with the favorite, Fotre, getting scratched due to a leg injury not long before this post went up.
