Good morning, Big Blue Nation. I hope you’ve got your lucky UK shirt on because it’s a very important day for the Kentucky Baseball team. This afternoon, the No. 8 seed Bat Cats take on No. 9 seed Alabama in the first round of the SEC Tournament in Hoover. It’s a single-elimination round, so the winner meets No. 1 seed Florida on Wednesday, while the loser goes home.
Kentucky (36-17, 16-14 SEC) is projected to get a top-ten seed in the NCAA Tournament, but a solid performance in Hoover will boost the Cats’ chances of hosting a regional for the first time since 2017.
