If you were to look back and pinpoint the three most popular players at the University of Kentucky over the last decade or so, you’d be hard-pressed to find three better options than John Wall, Anthony Davis, and Benny Snell.
During the 2009-10 season, Wall brought the swagger back to the Kentucky basketball program to get the John Calipari era in Lexington started on a high note.
Just a few years later, Davis became one of the most dominant players in college basketball history, leading Kentucky to its eighth national championship.
Over on the gridiron, Snell gave the UK football program its first true superstar and fan favorite since Randall Cobb, carrying the Wildcats to their first 10-win season since 1977.
