The first round of the Kentucky high school football postseason typically doesn’t result in much drama. This year was no different.
Most of the outcomes across the state saw lopsided scores with only a couple of forfeits sprinkled in. The Kroger KSR Game of the Week between Dixie Heights and Woodford County at Falling Springs Park started off as a tight contest, but the Colonels ultimately powered past the Yellow Jackets in the second half, advancing to the second round by a dominant final score of 60-14. Dixie Heights will take on No. 12 Highlands in round two of the playoffs next week.
