Backstreet Boys, a popular pop music boy band, sang the national anthem prior to today’s Georgia Bulldogs vs. Kentucky Wildcats game.
Members of the Backstreet Boys Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson are originally from Lexington, Kentucky. Richardson even showed off his Kentucky spirit with a UK hoodie while singing.
On Zoom, like most of us have been throughout 2020, the Backstreet Boys played for about 12,000 fans. Kroger Field sits about 61,000, so the team filled about a fifth of the stadium’s capacity.
That said, here’s a video of the group singing prior to the game.
