As expected, Kofi Cockburn is returning to Illinois. The seven-foot, Second Team All-American from Kingston, Jamaica, just announced that he’s going back to Urbana-Champaign for his junior season after withdrawing from the NBA Draft ten days ago.

Florida State and Kentucky were Cockburn’s other two finalists, although KSR learned earlier this week that the Cats’ interest in him was not as high as it originally seemed, to the point that he and John Calipari never communicated directly.
