Boyd County 3, #7 Danville 0
Boyd County senior Jake Biggs pitched a one-hit shutout to lead Boyd to a 3-0 win over #7 Danville in the opening game of the tournament. He struck out 11. Danville had not been shut out all year. It was the Lions’ first state tournament win since 2005.
Woodford County 12, DeSales 9
Trailing 7-3, Woodford County put up a seven-run 6th inning to go 10-7 and held on from there.
