Massey, who has been in a wheelchair for six years, was helped to his feet, which brought the Rupp Arena crowd to its feet as well:

With his degree in hand, Massey aspires to be a motivational speaker; how could he not given his story? At age 16, Massey was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor and given nine months to live; once that tumor started bleeding, his life expectancy dropped to just 24 hours, which is when John Calipari paid him a visit, promising him the opportunity to be a student manager at UK once he got healthy.
