Saturday night featured LeBron James’s home opener with the Los Angeles Lakers, but that spotlight was ultimately stolen by both Chris Paul and former Kentucky Wildcats guard Rajon Rondo.
Paul and Rondo have reportedly feuded for roughly a decade, dating back to Rondo’s time with the Boston Celtics.
Paul claimed that Rondo spat in his face, leading to Paul gouging for Rondo’s left eye. Rondo, who has the reputation as one of the tougher guards in the Association, preceded with a left hook that fully connected with Paul’s jaw.
