Kevin Knox was a top 10 recruit in the 2017 class, and as such, he has been named a candidate for the Julius Erving Award, given annually to the nation’s top small forward.
A total of 21 candidates are chosen in the preseason, which is then typically cut in half by February. Five finalists are then chosen in March and presented to the award’s namesake and the Hall of Fame Selection Committee.
The winner will be announced April 6 at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show.
Previous winners of the award are Villanova’s Josh Hart (2017), Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine (2016), and Arizona’s Stanley Johnson (2015).
