Kentucky guard Tyrese Maxey has been named a Miseason Finalist for the Jerry West Award.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Kentucky men’s basketball freshman guard Tyrese Maxey was the second Wildcat this week named to a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame positional award midseason finalist. Maxey is one of 10 finalists for the Jerry West Award honoring the nation’s best shooting guard, the Hall of Fame announced on Tuesday.
Ashton Hagans was selected as a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award on Monday, which is awarded to the nation’s best point guard.
