The Kentucky softball team's 2021 season came to an end with a 4-1 loss to Alabama in an NCAA Tournament super regional Saturday.
The No. 14 seed Wildcats, who dropped game one of the best-of-three series on Friday, struggled to find any offensive success after falling behind early to the No. 3 seed Crimson Tide. Kentucky has reached the super regional round in each of the last four NCAA Tournaments but failed to advance what would have been the second Women's College World Series appearance in program history.
