John Calipari’s Wildcats snapped a three-game losing streak thanks to an exceptional offensive performance in the first half and another big game by B.J. Boston. The Cats improved to 5-9 (4-3 in the SEC) following an 82-69 victory over Will Wade’s LSU Tigers.
Kentucky looked like a completely different team as soon as the ball was tipped. The Wildcats hit their first two threes and five in the first nine minutes to sprint out to an early 15-point lead. When they weren’t hitting from long-range, LSU’s full-court pressure led to UK lobs. It was the perfect recipe to create Kentucky’s best offensive half of the season.
