Mark Stoops has been the first to praise the unit for their improvement. Today he did not hesitate to point out how poorly they performed Saturday night.
“We were a little undisciplined,” Stoops said in his weekly press conference. “Our defensive line as a whole in this game was one of the worst ones we’ve played all year as a group.”
The defensive line did not make uncorrectable mistakes. They simply tried to do too much.
“It’s not for a lack of effort. They really want to make plays, but the defensive line has to be a very unselfish group.
