Of all the athletes on Kentucky’s campus, Abby Steiner might hold the claim as the most talented out of any of them.
The former soccer player turned elite track star continued her historic senior season for the Wildcats on Saturday afternoon when she won her second consecutive national championship in the 200-meter dash, posting the second-fastest collegiate time ever at 22.16 seconds. Steiner broke her previous record in the process as she helped guide Kentucky to a school-best 44 points and a third-place as a team at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships, the highest in program history.
