Three-star wide receiver Clevan Thomas, whose dad of the same name was a cornerback at Florida State from 1997-2000, committed to Kentucky on Monday, becoming the Wildcats’ 11th pledge of the 2017 recruiting cycle.
Thomas is from Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan, one of the best big-school programs in Florida. Flanagan is in the Fort Lauderdale suburbs. Thomas began his prep career at Miami Booker T. Washington.
Thomas is the second wide receiver in UK’s class, joining four-star prospect JaVonte Richardson from Maple Heights (Ohio) High. Thomas also is the second Fort Lauderdale-area prospect, joining athlete Joshua Ali of Hollywood Chaminade-Madonna Prep.
