Kentucky womens tennis ended a two game losing streak and handed Purdue its first defeat of the season with a 4-3 victory on the road at the Schwartz Tennis Center in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The Wildcats won the doubles point and three of the six singles matches to earn the victory, marking the first time this season Kentucky defeated a Power Five opponent.
The victory also marked Kentucky’s first time winning a 4-3 match this year after suffering two defeats earlier this season.
Kentucky opened the match securing the doubles point, with tonight being the seventh time in eight matches that the Cats have done so.
