Kentucky women’s soccer wins first NCAA Tournament game in a decade

The Kentucky women’s soccer team won its first NCAA Tournament game in a decade last night with a penalty shootout victory over West Virginia.

The No. 5-seeded Wildcats (11-4-5, 3-3-4) defeated the Mountaineers 4-2 in penalty kicks at Bell Soccer Complex.

Kentucky will now face No. 4 seed Notre Dame with the host site, date and time to be determined.
