Kentucky Women’s Soccer Suffers First Loss of Season at South Carolina

The No. 20 Kentucky women’s soccer team fell 1-0 to South Carolina on Saturday in the SEC opener for both teams.

The Wildcats dropped to 8-1-1 on the season.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 20 Kentucky women’s soccer (8-1-1) continued Southeastern Conference play this afternoon in Columbia, South Carolina falling 0-1 to the Gamecocks. Both teams had eight shots in the match with Kentucky leading 4-2 with shots on target.

Kentucky had a flurry of chances throughout the first half and led the hosts on shots 6-3 at the break.
