Kentucky womens soccer (7-5) lost its fourth-straight match to begin conference play, being defeated 3-2 in Baton Rouge against LSU (8-2-2).
Despite having been outscored 8-2 in their first three conference matches against Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Tennessee, the Cats opened the scoring against the Tigers in the 25’ after a corner kick by Hannah Richardson found Jordyn Rhodes, who put the ball into the back of the net, bagging her sixth goal this season and first in SEC play.
The lead would be short lived however, with the Wildcats conceding a penalty just two minutes later that LSU’s Shannon Cooke converted to equalize the match at one each.
