Kentucky women’s golf finished 12th with a 2-under-par score of 862 in the Mason Rudolph Championship hosted by the Vanderbilt Commodores.

The competition saw the best field Kentucky has faced in the young season. Seven ranked opponents made up the field including Texas and South Carolina.

The Wildcats finished 29 strokes behind the winning team, Texas, which finished the tournament with a 31-under-par 833.

The Wildcats sent a young lineup down to Franklin, Tennessee, including three freshmen and two sophomores. Cathryn Brown and Brooke Oberparleiter showed their experience, finishing first and second for Kentucky.

Oberparleiter was the only Wildcat to have played in a previous Mason Rudolph Championship.
