Kentucky womens basketball (6-1) earned a convincing 82-56 win over UNC Greensboro inside Memorial Coliseum on Sunday after going 1-1 in the Bahamas the week prior.
After struggling to get any shots to fall in the Caribbean nation, Kentucky’s shooters had a point to prove against the Spartans, finishing with a shooting percentage of 58.2% while UNCG finished shooting 34.3%.
Jada Walker led the Cats with 20 points and three rebounds, shooting 77% (7-9) from the field. Robyn Benton followed closely behind, going 6-12 from the field with three 3-pointers, two of which counted.
“(I am) so proud of Jada, I thought she set the tone for us offensively and defensively,” Kentucky head coach Kyra Elzy said.
