LEXINGTON - Kentucky women's basketball coach Kyra Ezly is adding a Hall of Famer to her coaching staff.
Elzy has hired former Duke and Texas head coach Gail Goestenkors as one of her three assistant coaches, the school announced Monday. Goestenkors fills the spot of Daniel Boice, who served as an interim assistant coach last season after Elzy was promoted to head coach when Matthew Mitchell retired just before the start of the season. Boice will return to his previous position as director of player development.
"Gail will bring a winning pedigree to Lexington as a proven coach collegiately, professionally and on the international stage with USA Basketball," Elzy said in a news release.
