After a thrilling start to the season, the Kentucky Wildcats are atop the most recent CBS Sports rankings. With a victory over the Michigan State Spartans under their belt, Kentucky will face a few much less skilled opponents in the coming weeks.
This bodes well for them keeping the claim as America’s best college basketball team, a title that usually doesn’t sit with one team for too long. They were followed by Duke, Michigan State, Louisville and Kansas in the top five.
Tuesday night may not have been the best showing of Wildcats’ basketball, but they secured the victory under the bright lights of Madison Square Garden.
