The big news of the morning is that the Lexington Center, the folks that own Rupp Arena, will not be selling the naming rights to Rupp. They are considering selling naming rights for the entire Lexington Center complex, however.
I am cautiously optimistic and pleased that we won’t have to deal with something like “Lexmark Rupp Arena” or “Ashland Oil Rupp Arena.” Of course, minds can change when the kind of money we are talking about is involved. Stay tuned (Hat tip: Kentucky Sports Radio.
