Saturday’s game with Vanderbilt was… strange to me. It was strange that Stoops went to backup quarterbacks so early in the game with Terry Wilson playing well and the defense struggling to get stops. It was strange that even after Vanderbilt pulled within 10 points, Stoops still played as if he were ahead by 20. Kentucky managed, despite all reason, to give the Commodores an opportunity to tie or even win the game on a onside kick plus a field goal or Hail Mary.
