The Kentucky Wildcats sophomore and floor general, Tyler Ulis has been named the SEC Player of the Year and the SEC Defensive Player of the Year. You read that right, the 5-9 point guard is the SEC’s Defensive Player of the Year, too.
Ulis, who is averaging 16.6 points per game and 7.3 assists, was given these honors by coaches in the SEC.
LSU’s Ben Simmons was selected as the SEC Freshman of the Year (I disagree with since he can’t obtain a 2.0 GPA and Jamal Murray is having such a record breaking year.)
South Carolina’s Duane Notice is the SEC’s Sixth Man of the Year.
