The Kentucky Wildcats Baseball Team took the series against Florida today with another big SEC victory. The Cats evaded a late inning comeback from the Gators, and allows the Bat Cats to gain ground in the SEC standings. Kentucky is now only 2.5 games back of the Florida Gators. The 7-6 win now pushes the Cats to a 25-16 record and 10-9 in SEC play.
The Wildcats started the righty Dustin Beggs tonight in Gainesville. Beggs went 8.1 innings giving up only three runs. Beggs also struck out and allowed six hits. Beggs gained his sixth win of the year in today’s victory as well.
