Kentucky Baseball has completed the sweep of the Tennessee Volunteers. The Cats used a 5-3 victory in the Saturday game to clinch the sweep. The Cats move to 22-16 and 8-9 in SEC play while the Vols fall to a 15-20 mark and 5-13 record in SEC play.
Starter Andrew Nelson was on a short leash today. Gary Henderson used Nelson in an unusual role for the Cats. Nelson is normally used out of the pen, but made the start for the Cats going through 4.1 innings and striking out three Volunteers.
Zach Logue ended up getting the win for the Cats, that’s his second win of the season.
