In an SEC East where everybody looks far from bulletproof, Saturday’s game between South Carolina and Kentucky – both unbeaten – takes on more importance.
The Wildcats been weird so far, as they are worse than expected on the ground (just 170 yards for Benny Snell Jr.) but much better than expected in the air (400 yards and a 61.9 completion percentage for Stephen Johnson). The Gamecocks have been even weirder, unbeaten despite being outgained 927 yards to 605 and having no rushing game to speak of.
Weird or not, the winner of Saturday’s game will go into Week 4 with a spotless record and sitting atop the SEC East.
