All season No. 19 Kentucky found scoring difficult, whether it was from the perimeter or from its big men. That was not a problem against No. 4 Louisville Saturday, when the Wildcats beat the No. 4 Cardinals 78-70 in overtime at Rupp Arena.
Freshman Tyrese Maxey scored a game-high 27 points and sophomore Ashton Hagans controlled the offensive tempo that led to Nick Richards having his best game of the season.
Louisville's Jordan Nwora, meanwhile, had his lowest-scoring game of the season with 8 points.
Kentucky led by as many as 12 points, but Louisville didn't bow out.
