Kentucky and Georgia Tech will face off in the TaxSlayer Bowl at EverBank Field in Jacksonville on New Year’s Eve.
The TaxSlayer Bowl marks the Wildcats’ first bowl game appearance since 2010 and the first of the Mark Stoops era.
The Yellow Jackets had an 18-season run of bowl appearances end end last season.
Kentucky never has played in the TaxSlayer Bowl, formerly known as the Gator Bowl; Georgia Tech will be making its eighth appearance in the game.
Georgia Tech leads the all-time series against Kentucky 11-7-1, though the last meeting came in 1960, when the Yellow Jackets still were in the SEC.
