No. 12 Kentucky volleyball (9-7, 3-2 SEC) fell to No. 7 Texas (10-3 5-0 SEC) in a sweeping loss Sunday in front of 4,834 fans inside Historic Memorial Coliseum.
The total was the sixth largest crowd in program history for UK volleyball.
Texas got off to a quick start by jumping out to a 15-10 lead. Kentucky closed the gap, catching the Longhorns, and tying the set 17-17, forcing Texas to call its first timeout. Following the timeout, Texas managed to win the set 25-21. Kentucky was held to a .114 attack percentage.
In the second set, Texas maintained its momentum by taking a 9-4 lead, which forced an early timeout by the Wildcats.
