USA Today’s panel of coaches moved Kentucky one spot higher than the AP voters, but both groups agree that the Cats should be ranked below North Carolina despite Saturday’s win. Kentucky comes in at No. 15 in the new Coaches Poll, a three-spot jump from last week. North Carolina, previously ranked No. 10, fell to No. 14.
While Duke took the top spot in the AP Poll, the coaches voted Virginia the best team in the land. Duke, Tennessee, Michigan, and Kansas round out the top five. Auburn fell four spots to No. 11 after losing to NC State.
