Kentucky turns up the defense in much-needed win over South Carolina

The Wildcats (16-7, 5-5 SEC) needed a win after dropping back-to-back games without injured point guard Lamont Butler.

Butler returned today and anchored the Cats on both ends of the court. He finished with 8 points and 3 assists. Otega Oweh finished strong to lead Kentucky with 17 points. Brandon Garrison had one of his best games of the season with 15 points. Amari Williams and Koby Brea chipped in 10 points each.
