A Kentucky tennis legend is moving on, as senior standout Liam Draxl has decided to forgo the remainder of his eligibility and turn pro.
Draxl, a native of Ontario, Canada, announced his departure from the program on Monday after four years in Lexington.
“After talking with the coaching staff and my family, I’ve decided to forgo my last year of collegiate eligibility and turn pro,” the team captain announced. “I’d like to thank everyone who was a part of my journey at Kentucky. You guys gave me the best four years of my life, and coming to Kentucky was the best decision I’ve ever made.
